Many features considered standard equipment at
BoatMate Trailers are considered optional by many trailer manufacturers.Only
the best components available are used to make the most functional and aesthetically
pleasing trailer possible. It is difficult to list our standard features because our
trailers are designed and built around individual customer requirements.
- All BoatMate trailers are built with hand selected tubular steel. Yes,
channel trailers can be as strong as tubular trailers, but not nearly as attractive. High
quality tubular steel has a much finer finish than channel. Also, tube steel allows the
wiring to be hidden by fishing the wire harness through the inside of the tube. We take
the extra time to work our steel in order to provide a custom look, such as rolling the
frame rails to match the contour of the boat hull.
- Every trailer is painted with DuPont Imron polyurethane paint. The
paint is computer matched to our customers' specifications at a DuPont laboratory.
Polyurethane paint has been proven to provide a longer lasting gloss with better chipping
resistance than the acrylic enamel still in use my many trailer manufacturers. BoatMate
has chosen DuPont paints so that our customers can obtain paint for their trailers at any
local DuPont retailer by simply providing the paint code for the color of the trailer.
Call us and we will be happy to provide the paint code for any trailer we have built.
- Every BoatMate trailer is equipped with UFP (Unique Functional Products) running
gear and braking components. UFP is the best in our business at providing state
of the art components. This includes their patented in-line surge brake actuator, the
Trailer Buddy bearing assemblies and disc brake axles designed specifically for use on
trailers. We wonder why so many trailer manufacturers continue to use outdated drum brake
components.
- BoatMate utilizes only the best components to assemble our trailers.
Products such as Wesbar electrical systems and HDPE plastic in our fender pads (no rotting
wood here!). Our running boards and fender pads are carpeted with heavy 20-ounce carpet,
not the more common 12 or 16 ounce carpets common in the marine industry. We offer a
selection of jacks and winches to accommodate our customers' individual tastes.
- Every trailer rolls out of our facility with Goodyear Marathon radial tires.
These are the best trailer tire available. We offer a wide selection of wheels (chrome,
painted, galvanized and aluminum) and will try to find a custom wheel if desired.
- Only stainless steel fasteners are utilized on BoatMate trailers. We
even use the best lug nut available, McGard triple-nickel plated lug nuts guaranteed by
McGard not to rust for the lifetime of the trailer.
At BoatMate, these items are considered standard equipment. To
our competition, some or all of these items are options at extra cost if available at all.
